The successful candidate will join a collaborative and growing secondary choral team, working closely with high school colleagues to support a cohesive and vertically aligned program. The secondary choral program is highly collaborative and continues to grow, supported by strong student interest and a community that deeply values music education. Responsibilities include:

• Teaching middle school chorus ensembles and rotating lesson groups during the school day Collaborating with high school choral faculty to ensure alignment of curriculum, vocal development, and performance expectations.
• Preparing students for and conducting performances throughout the year.
• Supporting a positive, inclusive, and engaging rehearsal environment that encourages student growth and participation.
• Participating in department-wide initiatives and events, including concerts, trips, and interdisciplinary opportunities.

• Additional opportunities may include: Advising or directing extra-curricular ensembles, musical theatre, clubs, or student activities (stipend as applicable).
• Participation in annual experiences such as the Music in the Parks trip and other performance opportunities.

Job Qualifications

Appropriate New York State Music Certification K-12 required. Salary as per MEA contract.
