Job Description

Position Description: We are seeking a motivated, engaging, and child-centered substitute to support our elementary school community. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children in grades K–6.

 

This position may include a variety of responsibilities, such as:

 

• Supervising students during lunch and recess
• Assisting in classrooms to support student learning
• Supporting students with medical or transition needs
• Providing coverage or assistance in non-classroom settings as needed

 

The successful candidate is adaptable, dependable, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.

Job Qualifications

New York State Fingerprint clearance and Civil Service approval required. Strong communication skills and prior experience working with elementary students preferred. The hourly rate is $21.16.
